The return of the Ike

it's been 8 months since my last confession...uhm...post.
some of you might not know me and others would have liked to forget me but i'm back
i will from now on be the only member of bfsa that has not been fishing for the past 6 months...
i promise not to put capital letters in any of my posts
i undertake to chirp robfisher aka king dingeling untill he wants to slap me with the biggest dinger he can find.
further on i vouw not to report back on any fishing trips in the nearby future as there's no bloody fish on this island...unless someone wants to take me fishing and show me where the pike's at (must have extra rod)...papgooiers dont need to reply.

well it's good to be back and i cant wait to get back...i need biltong that doesn't cost R680 p/kg, a steak that actually tastes like meat, a black lable quart and something at the end of my fishing line.

Ike wherabouts are you in God's own country? I might be able to point you in the right direction. Alternatively just go into any tackle shop and ask them to give you a contact number for The Pike Anglers Club of GB. There's Pike in every water man. At this time of year you will need to fish the deep water, between 12 and 20 feet, if you can find such depths on the NE banks (SW winds blowing into your face) you should catch. You will need to buy your own rod though unless you book with a guide.

nw, sw...i am directionally impaired like a chicken without a head in this bloody place.
i want to buy fooshing gear but they have kak rods here(mostly carp fishing stuff)...good reels but most of them left handed, a battle to get a right handed reel in this place.
a guide asks £140 for the day on the boat...that is a lot of zak
