I want to share this with you guys. I know some of you might think: "Ag, how childish!" or something along those lines. I just wanted to share with you what my girlfriend got me today. I don't think I have the courage to use it. I really just want to frame it.

JM,that engraved lure will be something you will cherish for many years to come,and it is best kept in that pristine condition for good.Your luck,you will take it fishing one day and it will get taken by a barbel (it is their favorite colour too) and lost forever.Put it aside in a place that will forever score you brownie points.Go out and get another just like it if you have to have that same set up and use that...fish will not know any different.Thirty years down the track,when you are sitting in your 'man cave' looking through all those old lures (and you will),that one will hold a special place in your heart ...and you will thank me for giving you this advice.Who knows,you may just be showing it to your kids and saying "look what mom bought me back then". :blue-wink:

Yeah she kept asking about where she could get my favourite spinnerbait and in which colour. I was very suspicious. It's just amazing how into fishing she is though. We have been together for a couple months now and I haven't forced her to fish or anything, she's just done research by herself on it and knows more than I knew in the first year that I started out! Pretty cool :blue-cool:
