To all the coastal and capetown guys the rest of the country is known as Vallies hahahahahaha...think Gauteng is most well known for shitty cold weather, wind, algae invested waters and small bass...oy yes, BMW's, 4x4's with spray on mud and people that can't drive for sh@t...hahahahaha...and then the vaal river that has 5 000 000 gautengers with imported 250hp+ monster bass boats that have to make turns catching the 5 bass in the river... hahahahahahahahahahahahaha...guess you need a quick boat to find the bass first or to get the time going if the 5 fish aren't biting... :eusa_whistle:

I left Nelspruit in 2004 because the wx is shit, the girls are fat, the fishing sucks, and the corruption is rife.

corruption is great but unfortunately only Gauteng is the only corrupt enough province to house the president. Fishing wise, a single 15km portion of the lowveld has more dams than the whole Gauteng province put together...fishing is everything but sucky...in our smallest of ponds in Komatipoort a 40+lb bag is nothing funny. If I was a farm owner I wouldn't allow a vallie on my farm either.

The other dams don't prduce badly either...Primkop and Injaka fires better than any Gauteng dam wil in a million years. We have the right climate to grow big bass as there is also enough water for anglers to fish so that the bass get chance to grow. Don't come to the lowveld and expect to catch fish on your finnesse tactics and shakey heads etc...our bass have a BIG appetite, they love bulky spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, 10-12inch worms, jigs, swimbaits, DD22's, dying flutters and one knocker spooks...or better yet, next time you come down just keep a few fish that you normally catch there in your livewell and come throw them as livebait in our dams...that ought to do the trick...

KZN and Mpumalanga aren't the bassing mecca's of South Africa for nothing...

P.S. Charleze Theron and Tanya van Graan are ex Mpumalanga...and our chicks are real not plastic and they don't need to use a WAP with a 210litre makeup remover tank to get the make up off there faces...best of all is you can actually have a conversation with the girls this side and they can damn right fish...there lives don't revolve around your credit card...

We dont normally run our mouth's off. We normally respect other peoples provinces/fishing area's/tackle/equipment etc. We dont burn or insult peoples integrity unless its a friend of ours or if they asked for it. Normally people on this forum compliment, advise, assist other fellow anglers. The 'other' site is reserved for in house fighting. You know about that one dont you?

Nice fish there Emjaysmit, unfortunately our climate doesn't allow for largemouth to grow to enormous size unlike your area, however we do have smallmouth bass to enjoy as well as largemouth and spotted bass so to get into a debate about where we live is a bit stupid. also what us capies enjoy is having to live, braai and fish in one of the most beautiful cities in the world and is still pretty much run by people that try to make it pleasant for all and not just for personal gain. so no heat to be turned up. you enjoy the fishing up there and we will enjoy ours and hopefully you can come enjoy ours as I have enjoyed fishing Injaka there. see you soon
