For those of you wondering why the BETT web site is down it’s because it’s undergoing a revamp and will be back online early next week!

Speaking of BETT I am a little disappointed that I have left it too late for the 2009 entry.
The last minute rush happened all too quickly :blue-confused: and I have missed out. R3000 in advance is not everyones cup of tea, but I speak under correction if it was payable in installments.Bummer
last website entry also said dont pitch and expect to fish the Gauteng compo.
Question is this :blue-question: .....I have fished a few and have never seen a full 50 complement of boats.so there will be a few NO SHOW. Do I take a chance and see If they will squeeze me in ?? What do you guys think??I should mail Lionel and ask :blue-cry:

Yeehaaa heeheehee You wont believe this I phoned in to check if they would accept stragglers for the no show guys and Lionell said that even if guys didnt pitch they would not accept "stragglers" as the guys thought this would be unfair. Lionel had just put the phone down on a guy who unfortunalety for him, :blue-confused: Fortunate for me cancelled and I was able to get spot no 50 on a first payment received basis :blue-badgrin: :blue-biggrin: Apparently there had been a number of people waiting for a spot.
I guess I was just "lucky' lets hope the "luck" holds and I can manage to catch a Bass or 5 at Rusties on Saturday,
Sorry Ruffy hard luck. Lionel did say that they "might " re consider the "stragglers" issue at a later stage but How this will work i dunno

Bett really set the standards, results posted timeously and feedback given quickly.

See feedback from Doug Kennedy regarding the 50 boat cut off. We may not agree with the feedback, but it is feedback non the less.
