Trolling Motor Repair

My fishing was rudely interrupted the past weekend when a little spring in my foot control broke. It pushes the acceleration button back.

Now where the hell will I find something like this? Midas & local hardware stores in Hermanus cant help.

Not interested in going to minn kota or the agents. Sure I can find one somewhere and quick.

Your local nut and bolt shop should be able to assist with a new spring, if not then try a bearing supplier like BMG etc.

Just make sure you replace it with a stainless spring, otherwise it aint gonna last long again.

I recently replaced my control board on the foot pedal and the new control board has a magnetic switch so dont use my spring anymore. I did store the old parts somewhere... will check tonight if I still have that spring.

Hi Juba.There is a spring manufacturer in Connaught Rd in Parow Industrial area called Springman.If you take that old one there,you are bound to find a match in their box of hundreds of odd springs.
