Ok I spoke to the owner. here is the deal.

They have chased away the squatter's, eracted palasade fencing all the way around the premises, have 2 security guards living on the premises. They have also been stocking it with bass.

The gate is permanatly locked, but you can buy a monthly fishing permit for R200 for which they will give you a key so you can gain access when ever you want. They do allow daily fishing at R50 per person but currently that is only on Sundays.

I am meeting the owner there tomorow and will also get an afternoons fishing in, I will report back the findings.

Hey Pomerob, that's great work and brilliant news! I'm very keen to be part of a club there - please let me have details.
I recon that place could be another Bass Lake in a year or two if it's stocked carefully and run well.
Thanks for all the work on this! :cheerleader: :eusa_clap:

Met with the guy today. The place needs alot of work especially with fish management. It is teaming with large carp. A serious cull is in order, has anyone got a 10 ton truck??

It has a lot of potential but at the moment it is hard going, I spent 5 hours on the water without a single nibble. The Guy is keen to get it off the ground but knows nothing about fish or fishing.

Maybe we can put our heads together and make a plan???

The details for Ron are 0837282365. He will arrange to meet you at the gate, take you in, take your money and give you a key, there after it is your bit of water, if you dont look after it he makes it very clear you will not be welcome back.

Hey Bigmouth, welcome to the site! I haven't heard a thing since May last year :blue-sad: It had so much potential that it'll be sad if nothing's happened.

I am thinking of going there tomorrow afternoon,

Anyone care to join me?

At about 14h00?

I had a peek at the place yesterday from the top next to the shops.

At a glance this place looks great for bass.
