Good day my fellow anglers.
Mokolo has provided me with my first ,as well as my biggest, bass. It is a gem hidden in the waterberg mountains near Ellisras (Lephalale). It gives the bass angler the opportunity to enjoy his favorite pass time, as well as a scenic bushveld getaway from "the rat-race".
Mokolo update:
The main tributary, the Mogol river, is flowing in strongly now, and some of the other smaller streams are also trickling in slowly. These are normally hotspots for filling your bag quickly.
The bigger bass seems to still be in deeper waters. There are small bait balls on the rocky sides of the dam. If you manage to find one, you will be sure to have a exciting few minutes of fishing before it splits up and vanish into the depths.
Hope you find this helpful. I'll do my best yo update as frequent as possible.
Please bear in mind, I am Afrikaans speaking, so my English might not be 100% up to standard... :eusa_shifty:
Hope to see some of you on Mokolo soon.

If people concentrated on the REALLY important things in life....
there would be a shortage of fishing rods !
