Hi Billy - for small craft yes, but I didn't check on an actual slip for "big people" boats. I am going to have a look at the parking/braai facilities this weekend and I will let you know - The request was that we do not use petrol engines, but nothing was actually said re the size of the boat. - It could be cool if a newbie or 2 spent a little time feeling what it's like fishing from a deck.

Hi Bomb
This sounds like a plan for the 20th Dec...I will be there.Please let me know if you can slide a boat on with a 4 x 4 ...
Seeing that it is a social,I assume there is no need for any fish to be kept in nets or livewells.If someone happens to catch a PB,there should be someone at hand to take a pic so all fish are released quickly.
I will sponsor a bag or two of charcoal for the wors at the end of the day.

@Smurf
Now that you mention 4x4 - if anything the hassle for big boats might be the road getting there - there is a section of the road that is very steep with loose stones up a small mountain pass. It's OK for my Corsa but . . . with a boat, I'd be a bit nervous. :blue-shock:

Sorry Bee - I'm dying to let the cat out of the bag - but the surprise will be well worth it.
It is about a 2k loose section, steep in some places, but nothing serious for a normal car or bakkie - where I would be concerned for a long boat trailer would be on one of the sharp bends.
Small boat trailer - geen probleem.

Sorry guys - I was just yanking your chain to throw you off the scent, :eusa_liar: but maybe I yanked too hard - there is no dangerous road so please don't be concerned about you vehicles . . . we do need to go over a rickety wooden bridge at one point though, but it's no problem if taken slowly. :eusa_think:

And for the guys who PM'd me re Elandskloof . . . . I wish we could get in there.
