Just to confirm, Saturday 1 Nov is still on for Phillips and Pietmans.
Please note that this is a social outing and not a comp. Get together with your old buddies, meet new ones, catch some fish, share knowledge, talk some BS.

The outing is open to anyone on BFSA and friends – anything that floats driven by anything other than a dinkum petrol outboard motor, is welcome. – and also no serious Bass Boats due to the fact that we want to keep the launch area intact. (at Phillips request)

The day costs you R100 and the full “gate” goes to the BADISA charity. Boerrie rolls will be available for lunch @ R25 for 2 (orders taken on arrival) – Bring your own liquids.

Kick off will be at 06:00 at Phillips (I will post directions and entry gate – just waiting for confirmation)
If 06:00 is too early for you . . . no problem, there are plenty of smallies to go around.

Just had a look at Windfinder and the weather looks gooood ahead of a small front moving in on Monday.

Suburban Tackle has kindly offered to donate some "goodie bags" thanks to Rory.

I will probably not be able to make it as I will not have a kickboat by then (went to a shop on Friday to buy some plasitcs and lures for Mofam and walked out with one small bag and minus R4000 lol (so now kickboat will only be ordered next month)

Where is this dam if you don't mind me asking? (Or at least just how far outside CPT?)

We are meeting at the dam at 6am or anytime after that. For those of you who haven’t been there before, directions are relatively easy:

It is between Villiersdorp and Worcester on the R43 at -33.86001, 19.369926.

Access is through a “non-sign posted” farm gate directly opposite Stettyn Cellars.

From the Villiersdorp side: The farm gate is on your left 17.7km from the turn off to Hermanus on the Theewaterskloof side of Villiersdorp.

From the Worcester side: The farm gate is on your right 14.1km from the Doornriver turn off just after the entrance to Quaggas.

Go through the gate and follow the road around the dam for just over 1km.

For those not attending on Saturday please note this is a private farm and not a public venue. The gate is usually locked. Anyone fishing without permission will be considered a trespassed/poacher and dealt with according to farming traditions.

I would just like to know until what time the event will be running and if we need to bring keepnets along? (I know it is a social event, but is there going to be a weigh in for biggest fish etc.)
