Hi all

I'm a very new bass man, started about a month ago I've been out 7 times and blanked 6 times, my first and only bass was a lucky shot, I think the bass yawned and I cast the lure into its mouth :blue-biggrin:

I'm from vanderbijlpark, so fishing spots are few and far between if you dont have a boat. I'm fishing at the caravan park next to Emerald casino with some junebug and watermelon fluke and senko.

I use a sensation bass zone 7' rod and baitcast reel.

In need of some serious help.

Francois

There are plenty of bass on those jetty's and retaining walls. Rather cast to the spots marked on the photo below, the tighter to the structure the better. There will be hardly anything to catch if you stand on the end of the jetty and cast into the middle of the river. Dont forget to try a creature bait or two too...

Welkom none the less.

Welcome Francois. Just over a week ago we got some fish there on dropshotting small flukes and the like or pegged texas rig of same. Black/blue combination should also work. Hit the corners of those jetties and leave the bait sit still - fish very slowly. Further downstream a bit there is more structure including some offshore and maybe the boating shop will allows you to fish towards the bridge from their fuel pump.........
