Kick Boat Club?

I think, therefor I am . . . then sometimes I drink, and am not.
I battled to sleep last night because my mind just would not shut down - first of all, just before I went to bed, I happened to flick to the Big Brother channel. It was shower hour and there was a black guy (and a chick) in the shower. All I can say is that it is true what they say about black men . . . . Very depressing :blue-sad: . . . But that's another story.

This idea of the KBR (Kick Boat Route) can turn into something great, but it needs to be thought through very well before it goes any further.
The two main issues that can turn the idea sour, are as mentioned by quite a few, Money and Roofkykers.
I received an SMS suggesting that I start a Kick Boat Club . . . Thanks, but no thanks Malcolm. :eusa_hand: My "get up and go" - got up and F@#%ed off long time ago. - BUT - that is good thinking. A Kick Boat Club could solve those issues (somewhat).

Kickboating can be as big, if not bigger, than Big Boat Bassing, simply because there are more poor bassers than rich. . . . so why is there no Kick Boat Club . . . or Clubs? :eusa_think:
Why do we not have Provincials and Nationals etc.
When I was fishing Rock and Surf, I fished for Liesbeek Park AC and it was great going to the monthly meetings, sharing knowledge, fishing spots etc, and fishing interclub comps every month.

What is this BS attitude of "not sharing" we've got? ( :blue-smile: not pointing fingers Rory, you just happened to post your "secret spot" after I'd written this. We are all guilty to some extent) Show me yours and I'll show you mine.. . . . now you've seen two.
We should be hunting new spots together - and have a "home dam" - like Provost eg, that we stock and look after . . . . . . Holy Crap - my mind is running away now . . . .

Question - is there anyone out there with balls big enough to tackle something like this?

Understood. We will trade spots no hassle. Perhaps the idea should be an extention of KBT where there is a monthly comp throughout the whole year? Trips during winter would surely seperate the more serious okes?

Perhaps a committee could be formed to plan venues etc in advance? There was something special about the atmosphere at Applethwaite between the boaters and kickboaters....perhaps another idea?

I for one am keen on making it official and would be willing to sit on a committee of sorts....perhaps Shane could give us his thoughts on the matter as I reckon he is the godfather of this kind of discussion....
