Don't forget for the Mac users you can't beat apple final cut.i use pinnacle ultimate easy to use.

I use Windows Live movie maker but only because it's free and came with windows 7. Notice the above software has to be purchased. what good programmes are available free?

Awesome site, I use Power Director for all my online tuts and it is unbelievable what you can do with it, glad to see I backed a good one. Just don't get the time to use it much though.

Some help please from the pros. I've got to the stage that Windows movie maker is using too many resources on my pc as I've used it lots and made vids up to 1 1/2hrs long but those days are now gone with this free software.

Recommendations besides these above for purchasing a quality product to run on Windows 7 now & 8 later when I upgrade?

Thanks Billy, you have to download apple Quicktime as well for full functionality but it looks really cool.
