Props - the 64 jelly bean question - again...

Howdy chaps

I have a 85hp Suzuki donkey on the back of the tub. A few questions from my side regarding props:

1: How to I determine what the pitch is on the prop?

2: I currently get 60kph on the gps with the current set up (it looks like the motor is set to the correct height). What prop should I be running?

3: What is WOT?

The motor is the silver type (auto trim) with blue decals if this helps put it into a year model.

I'd like to get more on the top end if possible. Dont ask on the weight and balance of the boat as it currently is a stuff up that needs to be changed. Its very heavy on the nose at the moment with the 3 x 105amp batteries in the front, but this is going to change.
Also, the rpm gauge does not register anything, where do I look for trouble shooting it?

What do you suggest? And where can I get a test prop to try out?

Hiya JFZ, I can't answer the other questions, I'm sure that there will be members who can, but WOT = Wide Open Throttle, in other words foot flat ;-)

My 85 Yammie runs on the stock standards 17" prop and I also get about 60km VIDH (voet in die hoek).

If I'm one up and leave some beers at home and duck behind behind the windscreen I can get about 65 - 68km VIDH. :blue-biggrin:
