Hey guys

Im looking at gaining some hands on experience with boat fishing, fishfinders, livewells etc,so for when the day comes of buying my own boat (This year hopefully), I'll know what to look for... So if anyone in the Gauteng area is going out and needs some help or company lemme know... Ill supply some cold ones! :blue-rolleyes:

Thanks dreamfish! Was hoping for a more hands on approach, and dont want to spend too much cash at the moment, as it is all going into my 'to be boat fund'... :blue-cool:

Better get used to forking out the buck coz boating is not cheap.

B O A T is a acronym for Bring On Another Thousand

Doubt you are going to be offered a ride from a relative stranger for a six pack - there are quite a bit of expenses going into a day on the lake and you are probably looking at an average of R750 - R1000 per outing. The biggest contributor to the costs being fuel.

As far as I know Ben's costs are more or less on par with what you would have spent sharing costs with someone in any event.

Thanks Josh! Didn't literally mean that I was only willing to bring a sixpack! LOL - I'll share whatever costs are involved... Just don't want to give out money unnecessarily e.g. charting a whole boat for myself! I'll definately check out the charter, but would have been nice to get some insight from a fellow BFSA member on what to look at when buying a boat/motor/trailer/Fishfinder - loading and unloading boat etc... Im not uninformed when it comes to the costs of things, or forking out money, I got married last year! :blue-lol:
