My name is Leo and whilst I'm not exactly a new member, I've have never introduced myself. But I guess there's no time like the present to stop lying low and become active. Been bassing almost 2 yr yrs now together with my son Thomas (he won the junior prize at last years Clanwilliam Summer Cassic). We're both been caught by the bug hook, line & sinker. Invested quite a bit in tackle and then added a trolling motor and fish finder to the speed boat at Clanni (but still a compromise with no casting decks). In December bought a skiff that's customised with a casting deck and works well for both bass and inshore. Knowledge now still the biggest short coming. We would like to join a club where we can learn more from seasoned bass anglers so we can get into some competitive fishing and I would welcome any recommendations of clubs that take particular care to nurture there youth members.

Thanks Bassassin. Clanni is my favorite & local spot, but am enjoy 'discovering new waters', hence the skiff for travelling.

Hi Treestumps.

Welcome to the site. I see we're from the same neck of the woods. I have been fishing Kwaggas mostly but are definitely planning to see a lot more of Clan this year. Hope to see you on the water soon.

Wanted to introduce myself. I am a red-blooded South African living in the U.S. and demolishing the largemouth here. Loving it. I do have a random question: Do you have stickers or decals to represent the site? (I love stickers on my bakkie)

Pleaseure to meet you all. Thanks.

Pleaseure to meet you too boet!!

Bassfishing.co.za sponsors two anglers up north - check out his boat wrap on the top banner.

Shane has some very lekka BFSA stickers. Speak to BWV (boatwrappervincent) - he makes a very BFSA nice branded fish measuring tool.
