Anyone have some experience with the - Famous Inflatable Bass Boat MkII? I’m talking about this one –

Its a super cool little boat, fairly sturdy- have you thought about a float tube ?

Need something that can keep some weight floating; I believe the tubes cannot carry too much?
I’m also thinking of using an electric trolling outfit so not too sure about the tube?

Float tubes are pretty strong and carry its fair share, you can put a trolling motor on it and a fish finder plus your tackle, you can also do the KBT ! If you are looking for a kickboat that can carry a lot of weight, then I would recommend the kickboats made by Crankystanley. They are all aluminium and able to withstand 130kg's plus. You can also easily fit a trolling motor if you so wish. The aluminium is a great material as its light, strong and also allows you to confidently and safely customise your boat to your needs with extra attachments and fishfinders etc.

Thanks for the replies – will I be able to “stand up” and cast on the above mentioned boats?
Looks like most of them are made for sitting down?

I would not recommend standing up on them, but honestly, there is no real need to. You can fish perfectly happily sitting down on the pontoon boats. The only downside to sitting is sight fishing, and perhaps pitching especially if you need to see holes behind cover that you cant see from closer to the water. The kickboats are also much easier to set up (and pump up) compared to an inflatable boat. Also, one has very good control over the boat while fishing because you have you flippers in the water and it becomes second nature to correct your position in the wind. In the wind an inflatable boat is a nightmare!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Trust me!!!!!!!!

Correct, standing up is not a good idea and Hayden speaks from experience! :blue-lol:
I will agree that pitching is not the greatest but otherwise you cannot go wrong with a pontoon kickboat... quick easy comfortable fishing.
I know a family member has a custom built kickboat thats pontoons are rated to 300kg! This kickboat is not very different to any currently on the market.

Anyone use one of these?
The inflatable I’m looking at is more than double the cost of the kick boat.

If you want to add a trolling motor, you should opt for the kick-boat over a float-tube. Although it's not completely impossible to add one to a tube.

You will just not be able to fish the money trail with your trolling motor, unless the rules are changed.
