Dory Bass Boat Restoration

My new long term project. My aim is to have it done by next summer, I hope all goes well as it would require allot of man hours to do so.

Dimensions: 1.5m x 4.0m with a Yamaha 55AM pull start outboard motor.
Project: Replace deck, redesign interior, deep water camo paint job and service outboard.

Good Luck with your project , I remember doing the same thing many years ago with the first boat I purchased.

Take your time and do lots of research , if you spend time ensuring that you purchase your materials at the best possible price you will obviously reduce your total cost.

If you do not know how to do something ask for help even if you have to pay for this help.In the long run it will be a lot cheaper than doing the job twice.

Yes indeed Shannon is king of boat builds i was lucky enough to see the boat when i picked up my sneaker, that boat is amazing.I got a lot of help and advice from him he is such a nice guy to deal with.

I am stuck between choices for the deck. It is between Marine ply or Polypropylene Honeycomb (<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.duroplastic.com/polypropylene-honeycomb.html">http://www.duroplastic.com/polypropylene-honeycomb.html</a><!-- m -->). Has anyone used the Polypropylene Honeycomb before? This is apparently cheaper and if sandwiched between fiberglass much stronger and more resistant to water.

Some advise would be appreciated.
