Hey guys dont forget the nationals at clan starting on the 8th of august. Brandin and I just got back from a very tough day at kwaggas. We only managed 3 fish. One smallie of about 1.3 kg and 2 largies of about 800 grams and 1 kg. All 3 were caught on carolina rigs with big bite bait kriet tail worms and big bite bait cane stick. Definately one of our toughest days at kwaggas for a long time.

Sounds like a tough day at the office BillyBass.

I was planning to go with a friend visiting from Gauteng today but he cancelled his trip earlier this week.

I guess the cold front on Thursday still had a bit of an effect on Kwaggas.

What was the water temperature like today?

Navrik the water temp when we were there was 14 deg.
Bergie the pilons on the dividing wall are still sticking out and you cant go across into brandvlei yet. It was about 10 cm deep on top of the wall with a steady flow of water coming over...
Valrath clanwilliam is only closed to anglers who are affiliated to saba clubs (gold members). If you are'nt you are entitled to fish there whenever you wish.

Well I am off to Clan on Friday fishing on Saturday and Sunday and if all goes according to plan might be fishing Qwaggas on Monday and Tuesday. I am going to need a holiday to recover from too much fishing :blue-biggrin: :blue-biggrin:
