Hi all. Brandin and i (team outdoors 365) arrived in Sedgefield on friday after a little drive and one or two stop goes to fish the 24TH HONDA MARINE BASS CLASSIC 2011. After booking into our chalets with Keith and Karen (THE WINNERS hello) we had the rather unpleasant misfortune of having to launch our boats in a very low lake pleasant. Thank goodness for Brandins 4 liter raider (submarine) the task at hand was made a little easier but even still to launch 2 boats took us one and a half hours. So needless to say we were very thirsty and needed to replenish our lost minerals due to our hard work of launching boats. Saterday morning eventually arrived and after having live wells etc checked we found ourselves waiting for lines in. Our game plan was to put our 3 trolling motors onto maximum speeds to get to the top of the dam were we have had very good fishing in previous years. Unfortunately half way up my front trolling motor decided to go on strike and stopped working all together and all this before we had even started fishing (lovely). Anyway needless to say we were both very upset but decided to try our best with what we had and had to use the wind and back trolling motors to move around. We would then throw an anchor and fish until we had either caught one or two fish or decided that there werent any to be caught or biting then pull up the anchor let the wind blow us a few meters and dropped the anchor and so on and so on. Having to endue this sought of thing in a competition is a very testing thing to ones patience i can assure you and hope that none of you ever have to go through it. Anyway on day one for us the fishing was quite tough because of the situation we were in but managed a bag of 4.2kgs. This put us into 10th place. The biggest bag for sat was Keith and Karen which was 7.2kgs then James and Morne with 6.4kgs and the Chalky And Tony with 6.2kgs. Brandin and i caught all our fish on SEBILE flat shads and strike king red eye shads with the odd one coming on BIG BITE BAITS grubs also. Sunday we did exactly the same thing as on saterday and managed 4.75kgs this time and this pushed us into 4th place overall. Given the situation we found ourselves in we were pretty stoked with our finish.

Thanks for the report back Billy.

Awesome result considering the handicap you guys had. It appears that the Sebile Flat Shad strikes again.

Sebile Flat Shad and Red Eye Shad are definately my favoured two lipless cranks at the moment.

Do you know what Keith and partner got all their fish on?
