Hi guys, will be going to Sterkfontein in March for a club comp, do anyone have some info on the dam.

I have not been to the dam yet but heard it is part of the KZN Bett this year.

Just be very careful. I have seen quite a bit of info on another forum with links to few videos the guys have made.

Apparently the water can stand up very quickly and there is also quite a few sunken bass boats at the bottom of the dam according to a local.

The guys mention some very nice yellowfish as well.

why don't you go and fish it next weekend and tell us if there's bass in Sterkfontein :blue-badgrin: They say it's got some good bass in it, but trying to find any info on it is like finding a 30 lbs bass in ALBERT FALLS :blue-lol:

Not even the X-Rap is doing anything here of late. I had more sucsess at a the farm dam and Midmar Dam recently than any other place of late. :blue-cool:

Ive cuaght some lekka bass in sterkfontein. Look for dirtier water near quantani, the bass are really scares in the clean water.

If you want my 2c, rather target yellows :blue-badgrin: :blue-biggrin:
One fish can change it all.....
