New to Site What boat to buy

Hi Guys

I have been on the site a while, but have been away in AUS. Only back today!

I'm Ian Versfeld
I live in Ceres
I've been fishing for bass since I could cast.
I have taken a break from the competitive scene for 5 years
I'm getting back into the sport over the next couple of years.
Hope to see you on the water.

Looking for boat:

I'm looking for a bassboat. When I stopped fishing I sold my boat and I'm now back in the market. When I left T-birds, Rebel 532's where the best we had.... except for the imports of course. What does one buy now in the price range of R80k up to R150K? New or Secondhand?

Please can you guys give me some info on boats that you might have and there pro's and con's

Thanks

Ian :blue-razz: :blue-razz:

Thanks,

I'm always looking there, but I want personal input from boat owners. I'm looking at a 532 with 200, but the rebel is a wet and hard ride in rough.

Does anybody have or know someone who has a bullet 160? What is the ride like? I know Alwyn used the Raker x16 hull to build from, but is it a carbon copy as that boat really rides well and comfy (x16)

My previous boat was a Rebel 532 with a 175 on the back and I was very happy with it... I replaced with a Triton TR200.

Ian I have a 532 with 200 merc and you will need something similar for the rough cape waters.
No problem with mine , love my boat, ok I tweaked the motor and now have 240 horses.

After witnessing the power boat race at the Clan MC I must admit my 60 horses are screaming for an upgrade....
