I have received a list of possible venues and contact details. Now the real organising starts

I spoke to Mr Kotze in Zim and report as follows:
Accomodation in calets is available @ R150.00 per person per night, bring booze, bedding, towels and food.
3 dams to fish, the biggest is 6.5km long. All are well stocked with bass and bream. Lots of bass 1.5 to 2 kg with the odd one up to 5 kg.
Cook and security guard available.
I have booked for 5 people 2nd to 6th Jan (provisional)
About 200 km from border. I will report on progress on other dams as info becomes available.

It has been suggested that we stay at 1 venue for the duration of our trip. I am happy with this, how do you guys feel?
We need to get together before we leave to sort out the finer details of who is taking what. Any suggestions?

I spoke to several people in Zim yesterday and the most interesting fact to come out is that the water surface temp gets as high as 31 degrees. How do you plan for water that warm? What tactics and baits will work?

The water temp deeper down is sitting at about 24 degrees, so I assume we need to fish a bit deeper?

Rob I have spent the last week stocking up on Horny Toads. It is hard to find stock of popular lures at this time of year. Shops dont order enough stock, the suppliers close and we end up settling for the crumbs. Luckily I had some watermelon red toads as every shop I have been to are out of stock.

But thanks 2 sleeps left, it cant come soon enough.
