Florida USA

I have just booked a trip to Florida in May next year and wondered if anyone has fished any of the waters around Orlando and can give any recommendations... at this stage it looks like we will fish Lake Tahoe and Lake Okeechobee... any recommendations?

I will take my Steez reels with and then buy rods and everything else at the Bass Pro Shops.

Anthea and I (leaving the kids behind) are meeting her sister and brother-in-law from the UK in Orlando... gonna go do the Disney thingy and the boys have a pass to go fishing as well... we are going for 2 weeks and will probably drive down to Fort Lauderdale and Miami for a day or so... I’m gonna spend a day at Bass Pro Shops when I first get there! My credit card is gonna take a little strain!

Rob I fished the Conway ,and Butler, chain of lakes in Orlando.
Very nice Florida strain bass, you need to get hold of a guide in Orlando.
I had a friend that guides in that area, but cannot remember his details, if I do I will give you the contact.
St John's lake is also nice, but produced average size when I was there.

Yip I know... the problem I’m faced with is having to take a spare suitcase over to carry all the crap back... Virgin allows a 32kg limit for fishing tackle...
