Plasticman, you seem to be doing a sterling job so far, it's nice to see other guys taking the plunge and doing some DIY boat building.

Jeremy, thanks and yes that is a Pitbull you saw in those photo's. He's my 3rd one, love them! He's a 3yr old 38kg Carver blood line :blue-biggrin:

Bergie, the boat was designed for anything from a 40 to a 90hp, but many guys have run them with 115's, my boat's a little heavier than the design because of all the extra deck I added, but it would still happily run with a 60hp. One guy who built his very light with a minimal deck layout ran his with a 30hp tiller and it ran well.

What hp motor are you planning to put on Shannon?

Navrik the boat ran really nicely and was trimmed very well with the 115hp on it, so that would be my first choice, but to tell you the truth it all depends on how long it takes to save up and what I can find along the way. A set of paddles might be on the cards :blue-lol:

Thanks,It is really a lot of work,we both know it,but to built a boat from scratch it really great,I'm using all my knowledge and yrt I still have to stop and really think.I don't believe doing this is just for anyone to attempt,
