Hi All,

We fished Goedertrouw on Saturday. (Robs post) We had a guard supplied to us by CIS security, based in Eshowe. They drop off and pick the guard up as well... R225 for the day. Well worth it considering the value of one’s vehicle and contents... Owners name is Clifford... Cell... 082-945-7205!

Thanks Bryan, that is useful information that we can all use. I must say that is the only drawback of fishing there. It is not nice worrying about your car when you are trying to enjoy the fishing.

its perfectly safe to leave ur car on the other side of the dam wall, in the fenced area...there is always a guard there...we just tip him at the end of the day...he looks after the cars and trailers...hv never had a problem there... :blue-biggrin:

the problem lies when u leave ur car by the launch spot!!! :blue-evil:

Indeed good info to have, thanks Bryan!!! Wink

When Millpond and I fished Goedies last, we left the vehicle where Marj suggested. We gave him food and a bit of money and he was happy like a pig in...... :blue-redface:

Last time we fished Goedies for a club comp, a cpl of weeks ago, I fished with one of our club members and he wouldn't take the car to where I told him to park it (in the fenced area.) When we got back to the vehicle in the afternoon, presto, shattered window!!! :blue-evil: :blue-evil:
Fortunately he has the smash and grab film on the window so the alarm went off and they didn't get in, but still.... new window plus tint replacement.... a good couple of rand... :blue-evil:
