I don't know which map you guys have got , but please bear in mind when you do your planning (especially you johnno) that the wall has been raised 3 meters so there is a whole lot of different "structure" that may not be reflected on the map eg. all the old roads in the campsites that may be shown on the map are now under about 8ft of water etc etc just my 5c worth have fun, Midmar is a great dam.

My planning was for a 3m raise, not for 5m. :blue-shock:

This is critical info chaps .... was it raised 5m or 3m?

I'm just going by what one of the Honourary Parksboard members/Rangers told me... They told me 5m, I'm not in a position to say 3m or 5m.... :eusa_shifty:

Not sure how to confirm it.... But flooding there was and there are now flats and structures and roads underwater... :blue-confused:

Gents,
I found this in Google...

MMTS-2 ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT

Phase 1 :
• Constructing a 8m weir at Mearns on the Mooi River;
• Installing standby pumps at Mearns and registering a servitude of aqueduct along the receiving streams; and
• Raising Midmar Dam by 3.5m.

I have heard of some spectacular catches in the new Mearns dam... anyone know how to get there?
