Darwendale Dam Zim

This is an awesome dam situated in Zimb's. The all Africa record 18 something pounds came out of this dam 2 years back. I have fished it and it really is awesome. The lodge situated on the water’s edge is really nice. Gavin the owner has gone to great lengths to build a very family friendly lodge. It is far to travel but a few of my buddies have flown into Harare and then by car to the dam which is situated some 50k's outside Harare. On our last trip Paul Lubbe nailed a 12.5 lb. If anyone is interested in more info - I need your e-mail add and I will forward the last newsletter received from Gavin.

Received newsletter from Gavin of Hide away lodge and was glad to see that I'm still holding the camp record (12.5 pounds).

Absolutely a brilliant dam, still trying to convince my wife to go up there.

you mention my heavy rigs and big baits - any info on the dam itself eg. structure etc?
