BFSA for sale

I see our esteemed owners have decided to sell BFSA - well thats what they have advertised on farcebook yesterday - promoting the likes of the value of advertising, the past history etc. Oh, you get a free online tackle store if you make the purchase too...

It amazes me that they still did not reply to the previous thread I started concerning them, nor have they even bothered to notify here that the site is up for sale.

I wonder if the 12 remaining members of this site will be willing to club in together and purchase the site from the owners? 

I'm sure between us we can scrape together R3 for the site? Are you guys all in for 0.25c? I'm willing to make soft loans to an additional 3 people and will club in R1 on my ace.

I keep thinking - is Bass Warehouse actually getting their money's worth for advertising on this site?

The same 12 remaining active viewers/contributors cannot sustain the level of purchases needed to even break even on the advertising cost




(That is if Bass Warehouse is paying for advertising - otherwise my statement falls flat)

If I had mad money I would seriously entertain buying the site but I get the feeling they have unrealisitic expectations in terms of current value. Nevertheless, Jim, I'm in with a firm 1 ZAR!

@kassie: a quick phone call or two will reveal the info you ask. But I fear you are right

@ toad: as i see it the owners are flogging the online site with a bonus free bfsa forum attached. Either way it makes no cents (sic) as you can probably create a new online site quicker than you can tie a palomar knot without your reading glasses on. That, and i think the market is swamped anyway with online buying sites

So i guess that this platform will probably die a miserable death and wander into the history of what was not to be

Not value in the e-commerce site. Those you can whip up in minutes. I do believe BFSA as a forum has some value. How much is debatable.

Also when it had the "rights" to the BFSA Money Trail which became the affiliated with FLW and then died and then the SABAA Western Cape Team Tournament Trail started in it's place.

But if I was the owner and had money to burn I would get BM to get it up and running on the old Content Management System or at least that kind of look and feel.

It drew me in every time I logged on and I believe advertisers got their money worth with the way the screen real estate was utilised.

This Content Management System wastes too much screen real estate. Heck I am on Full HD and I can only see this bit of reply I am typing.
