Howdy, recently purchased a Abu Garcia 2500lp second hand and it has this on off button. Please let me know what this is and how it works. Sorry, don't know how to upload an image. :blue-cry:

It's a flipping switch. In the on position you'll find that the spool release does not stay engaged when depressed. This allows you to strip off line when flipping.
Occasionally I use words I don't fully understand to make myself sound more photosynthesis.
