When fishing in KZN which dam do you prefer fishing in, purely from a fishing point of view??

I personally like Albert Falls, the structure isnt as abundant as at Inanda but offers a wider variety of structure. Actually I think Alberts offers the whole bang shooting match whilst Inanda is seriously lacking Lilly pads, falldowns and especially grass beds.

I feel at home at Inanda... there are just so many places to fish... whereas there are limited spots at Albert?s. Just fish a Tournament there with 300+ other boats... Plus the storms scare the living daylights out of me.

but the same is true for Inanda put 300+ boats on the water and the fishing is kaaaaaaaak, plus the 300 boats are once a year thing and I beleieve has been cut to 250 boatsat Alberts.

Storms are storms and have a lot to do with common sense i.e dont head out to the middle of a dam with huge swells and rouge waves to try and get home during a violent storm.

Your right at the end of the day it comes down to which one you like more. I suppose you cant really say which one is better. I must admit I have never had a rock thrown at me nor been asked for plastic worms at Alberts.

Yes that is a distinct plus for Albert?s? there are no locals living close by? and the people that do live close by are a cultured bunch who don?t throw rocks or nag for worms?

They dont ask for worms at alberts cause they know how hard the fishing is most of the time and they would be wasting thier time haahaha.

Alberts is excellent and so is Inanda but I do like to fish knowing my tent and car will be fine while im out on the water so I vote for Albert

Well if the eThekwini Municipality plan for Inanda get some momentum then who knows... the worm begging days of the locals could be over... we can always wish.

Fishing hard at Alberts??? Andrer I thought that was your home water??? Last time I was there I watched two 6 year old lighties throw some cheap plastics with a R69 rod and reel at the side of the slip way, into the middle of no where and caught 2 nice fush in half an hour whilst us adults serached for a trailer.

I have spent 7 days in total on Inanda and every one of those days have been tough. I have only spent 3 days on Alberts and have caught more fish in those three days than I have in 7 on Inanda.

Ok Inanda gave me a 4.82kg fish, but we wont mention that 8-)
