I would like to say this...based on the photos the bright clear sky's are the biggest factors. There are other factors too. There are seasonal issues too. So yes, water temperature does have an effect but seasonal and weather conditions will always have the bigger affect short term. Sorry if I got the whole affect/effect thing wrong...
