Quick advice from CT locals - MACFREAK - 08-22-2013 Hi all. This question goes out to guys like Q, SteveO, Abos and anyone else around the Helderberg. Is there any remote chance of bass being present in the dam situated between Somerset West and kuilsrivier next to the N2? It is better visible when using the old Kuilsrivier road. It looks like it might just hold bass My lady's old man is coming to visit from Kimberley soon, and i really would love to get him into a bite or two close by. - SteveO - 08-22-2013 is it the dam close to De Wijnlanden estate? As far as I have heard there is a bung of carp in there, duno about bass, if it is that dam, it is private. I have gone in to heard if I am alowed to fish there. The best place to go to take the old man fishing is at Mofam I'd say. Or go to Ongegund estate on the old sr lowries pass road. - MACFREAK - 08-22-2013 Ja that's the one. Looks great though! I agree with SteveO, go to Ongegund. Yes it is the one on the brick rd through the gate and stop at the office, they'll tell you where to go. R40 pp to fish. Ja speaking of the hook-and-cook brigades, sad to think that my PB of just over 2kg came out of the Poinsettia pond in Helderview (behind Lord Charles on R44) but all the carp in there are flourishing... :frown:
