Inanda this Saturday? - drew - 01-25-2007

Hi Guys.

Ok, so Norkie, King Dinger and Fab are fishing the C4C on Sunday at Inanda. Seeing that pre-fishing is allowed nowadays (I think) who will be fishing there on Saturday as well?

- Fab - 01-25-2007

Eishhh bru!! Tell that Millpond fellow to hit the water. I'm only doing a half day outing but I figured if I'm spending 2 and a half days there in March then maybe I better learn how to fish that dam. Cry

I'm going down tomorrow after work (Friday 26Jan07). If it's "ON", I will probably fish into the evening and sleep on board <img src="http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/7/7_2_205.gif" alt="Fishton sleeping on board" border="0">so I can have a quick early, early, early fish then head home in time to take the kids surfing. Wink

I caught it in what Rob Fisher calls "Drew's spot" none of the consistant, well respected and feared guys used to fish there. I caught a 2,58 and then the 3,34 on successive days. Now it's like a taxi rank. I believe Schalk Gordon made 2 casts there a few days ago and the 2 fish made a 10kg bag!!!! 8O 8O 8O 8O

Schalk? Who? Oh yes, sorry ....... Flash's baby boetie!

Where is this spot drew? What bay?

- drew - 01-25-2007

If you are heading from the mouth towards the wall and you pass Donkey Bay, you get to a section of long shallow flats. If you back off to about 16ft, there are various underwater cut backs and holes. I fish these holes starting about 50m on the wall side of Donkey bay and work towards the wall for about 100m. Sometimes you have to get out to 25ft, but there are always fish there.

I will only be fishing the comp on Sunday, must go and watch my son's cricket game on Saturday. (He is 15 and made the school's fist team!)

Drew you are right Schalk got a 4.3kg and 5.8kg on that spot twee weeks ago. I spoke to him today at my son's school and he gave me a picture where he is holding both those fish! Watch the gallery I will post it tonight or tomorrow. He clame that both died and he took them home???? :-( :-(

- mumro - 01-25-2007

i wish i could fish inanda as often as you guys do Sad

- drew - 01-26-2007

Jeez Norkie, that is some pretty kak news!! I have noticed that fish caught in the lats few weeks don't swim off to well. I'm sure it has something to do with the water temp being so high. Either that or there is something very wrong out there. Schalk is definitely a catch and release fisherman so I know that's not an excuse from his side.... very sad indeed to lose 2 good specimens like that. :?
