Stolen Bass Boat - Bassassin - 05-04-2011
James Owen-Hughes had his bass boat stolen this past weekend. It is a blue and black Barbados with a 115 Yamaha. James is in the Western Cape region (Muizenberg), if anyone sees his boat on the water or on the road please report it to the police or contact James on 083 787 5002. The boat has new windscreens fitted as per the second photo (in the garage).

That is such a kak thing for anyone to go through. with stolen boats, they usually remove the motor and ditch the rest. Hope they catch the bastards :blue-evil:

Eish this is really sad news :blue-doubt: we will all keep our eyes peeled.
I suggest the guys keep a sharp lookout on Gumtree etc for a 115 Yammie for sale.

That is bad news,
From what I know,the motor will be used on a snoek boat,the hull will be dismantled and dumped.I hope the dude has the serial number as well as the block number,

Plasticman you shouldn't make statements like that there are quite a few snoek fisherman and a commercial or 2 that are members of BFSA. Hope they don't take offence. It might well end up anywhere and maybe some innocent guy buy's it unaware of its origin.

I used to do it myself,Snoek fishing that is.I used to fish on RAKA.I know what happens.It's the bad element in society I'm refering to.No offence to the good guys.

We lost two props while waiting in queue at Yserfontein,another occasion 100 litres of fuel,A budy of ours lost both motors.It is a real shame. :blue-sad:

Hi guys. I work for the SAPS vehicle theft unit in Newcastle KZN. Normally what will happen is that the box that scaled your ship will move it out of the area asap. If you can get all the details of the stolen boat, chassis number, motor engine number, full specs and description of boat, identification marks colour coding etc. I will see what I can do for you.I have mates all over the country that will assist.
