SA Weather Service is the most accurate I find...Sunday: temp 17 degrees, wind 9km/h SW am...24 km/h NW pm.

A swith from SW to NW, does that not spell a cold front on the way - therefore a drop in pressure somewhere in the day? You might just catch some nice numbers ..... if that prediction holds.... :blue-cool:

For the guys with the smaller boats, the bank opposite the launch fishes well this time of year and is very fishable in a NW.
If it does come up strongly you will be running back to launch with the wind but can fish comfortably on that bank even if it does come up.
Texas june bug lizards, craws and grubs worked close up against the bank produce there. Light coloured cranks and rattletraps also work well on that bank. Work the cranks slowly so they bump along the bottom (4-8ft), you will get stuck now and again.
Rattletraps with a fast to very fast retrieve in mid water, work the bank at a 45 degree angle so you cover different depths, keep the boat 20 metres from the bank. With rattraps keep moving along casting in the direction you are heading until you hit a fish. Work that area (with plastics as well) and then move along again till you get another hit. Have a mojo/weightless stretch 40 handy for when they hit and miss the trap or don't want to hit it again. Remeber where you found fish, you bound to find them there again when you come back down the bank.
That bank is like 1.5km long so more than enough water for a days fishing. AND some really big fish have come off that bank so they do live there.
Often it's they guys with the smallest boats that weigh the biggest bags.

us kitesurfers use windguru which is pretty accurate with its wind predictions. You can usually add 5 knots onto their prediction.
