Good job to the forum admins etc. Bass fishing in south africa will not be moved forward by a bunch of close minded, close fisted individuals.

Although some may jump for joy, I think it's sad that it has come to this! Everyone, for all their faults, have good points as well and in the mixing pot of human nature, there comes a time of having to live and let live let alone co-exist in the various facets of daily life which for some bass anglers is this huge information portal called BFSA.
Jim, I urge you to reconsider and the same for other members. A loss to the site is a loss for all especially the newbies. Lets put all our differences aside and try to make it work and let BM decide what's suitable or not.

@JFZ - Bud, Yes you are outspoken, but I don't see it as a bad thing. Sometimes this is needed to spark change. Look at what happen with the Applegate saga. The rules were changed for the better due to tough questions being asked.. Yes this does also mean that you will get some flack in your direction, but just take it in your stride..
I think we need a nice year-end-social-braai-get-together-thing just with vleis and beers and without rods - Its been a long year!

Guys I have vowed to never post on this site again. Especially that some chaps commented without seeing the actual post. It had nothing to do with pre fishing at all it was about the way it was done and how myself and a few others saw it. With intent to cause trouble. but be it what may it got taken out of context.
I enjoy contributing to the newbies on this site but am also tired of trying to keep a relationship between competitive and non competitive anglers especially when we make so much effort for the sport. enjoy gents I will from now on be known as a roofkyker. If anyone needs help and information pm me

Please explain how you saw this as anything other than a bit of tongue in the cheek humor. No secrets were divulged - even though nothing would have been wrong with me going out and catching a few, and then posting a detailed report.

You don’t see the humour in a knowledgeable person like Bassmar calling “Shitruse” (yes it is spelled wrong intentionally) canary yellow?
Or – him calling a witvis, a little shark thingie?
Or - in me intentionally cutting his fish, and his face, out of the pic?
Or me “mistakenly” leaving the tower in the pic.
Yes it's not side splitting humour . . . it's called satire.
It is intended to take the piss in a humerous way out of the high and mighty, much like Zapiro does with the government.
There was no intention of causing trouble . . . the trouble was caused by your over the top reaction.
Now - if you really want the pot stirred . . . . is it ok for people taking part this comp to phone me - and others, for info regarding the catches made and conditions of the dam?
This is all so unbelievably stupid - and the trouble is, tomorrow we must see each other on the water . . . . do we then look away sheepishly without greeting?

We have caught quite a few witvis on crack before. As a matter of fact I have only ever caught them on crank and no other baits.
