Howzit Ripper, wish you all good things this year.
It is always a nightmare arranging a venue, particularly for a season of fish offs like the MT, KBT and Regionals. The chaps involved with arranging these do a fine job, especially when a venue suddenly is not available for some reason, another has to be inserted at a time when you do not upset other tournaments. And there are only a limited number of suitable venues down here right now. Just have to respect each group of anglers and allow them to operate and all will be fine.I think the time is coming for a KBT on Langebaan...that would be different.
Life is not about the number of breaths we make, but the moments that take our breath away.

Same to you Smurf and thanks.
That's why we need that calendar out and I know Andy is working on it?
Are your venues becoming problematic due to low water levels or barbel and carp invasions...............

I don't think water levels played a part in the KBT being moved away from Kwaggas but the low levels just caused us to move our upcoming regionals in Feb away from Kwaggas this season.

We will be doing a second back-to-back at Clan in Feb followed up by 2 Theewaters sessions in Mar and Apr.

This months KBT was at Poortjieskloof and despite the venue change we still had a good turn out. Thank you guys for understanding and travelling those extra kilometers.
That being said the guys were keen fish, when Andrew and I arrived at the gate (a good few minutes early) just about everybody was there and waiting. After the usual meet, greet and catch up the gate was opened and we were off to the dam and soon enough we were on the water heading to our spots.

After kicking around and chatting to some guys it become clear that you were either in the fish or you were struggling but most of the field kept fishing right until the end.

There were some good fish brought to weigh in with 5 being 2kg or more.
1. Hendrik Brand 2.67kg
2. Brad Keyser 2.44kg
3. Richard Blair 2.43kg
4. Sarah Crossman 2.23kg
5. Grant Snowball 2kg

But in the end Richard came in with the biggest bag.
The Top3 are as follows
1. Richard Blair with 8.49pts (5.49kg + 3 live bass)
2. Brad Keyser with 7.21pts (4.21kg + 3 live bass)
3. Hendrik Brand with 7pts (5kg + 2 live bass)

Well done to the Top3 and the rest in the prizes.

Next months KBT is on the Breede, be prepared for some strong fighting fish.
I will post details this week.

From Andrew and myself we would like to thank all the sponsors:
