You know this for sure or you just asking ? Perhaps these are some of the 'T's & C's' that are coming in to play.Like I said,it would be really nice to have the ENTIRE entry format available, for example, will the prize boats be standing at the venue waiting to hitch up when I win it ? Getting a Voucher to have one built... :blue-doubt:
I am sure we will hear more soon if they want to attract the guys from Cape Town.

Gentleman please note that we are working on the final T and c's of the Event. Also on the concept as a whole.

But I can give you some details.
The snr Big Fish prize is for the biggest fish of the classic, no matter the weight. If it's size it counts.
The Jnr big fish prize is for the biggest fish of the classic, no matter the weight. If it is size it counts.

Please gents wait for the event rules before you believe anything anyone tells you who are not in the actual event management team. I really would like this event to happen without any politics, our sport already suffers so much because of it. But feel free to give us some tips on what you would like to see at a classic.

You are opening things up here...You enter a Tournament to catch good fish, have the possibility to win decent prizes (not the collection of redundant stock that has an over inflated value to it,or getting a T shirt marked 'S' when you are XL !),get a decent dinner as part of the entry fee, stay at a decent venue that will have good facilities for those that have to stay over at the venue.Well organised live weigh station where fish are handled with care, scores are recorded accurately and the end tally does not create confusion and arguments at the prize giving...there is nothing worse than proceedings being interupted by an angler that challenges the end result because his points were left off, then the prizegiving is delayed due to a recalculation.
And seeing as you asked, make sure the big fish are biting on those days that you have arranged with the weather gods !

Smurf I like the way you think, I hope the big fish are out and about when you visit these waters, I promise you the prizes up for grabs are of good quality. And no funny stuff. We aren't including a meal in our entry fee but we have Texas a local restuarant with a awesome menu wich I promise you aren't expensive either. Plus several other food stands available.

Venue. You have a choice of Lake pleasant hotel that has awesome chalets and rooms with under roof parking and charging points for your boat and good security. Or you can book a chalet or a camp site from Lake pleasant chalets and camp site . The acomadation at groenvlei is really good and all minutes from the launch and prize giving.

Our weigh station is on the lake or right next to it where the anglers get to climb from there boat onto a jetty for weigh in. Then the fish gets released emidiatly. Unless it's a big fish. You are then asked to place the fish back in your live well and givin a calming product. You and your big fish then get takin out with your boat by our 4×4 and pulled to a stage where you get to show the fish for our photographer's and the your family. The fish is then placed in a large tank with air and some meds to make sure they are ok we promise you our fish is of top concern to us. As for the scorring I hope we don't mess up.

We want to encourage all anglers to bring the wife and kids with, we will have life entertainment the whole weekend and some pony rides, paintball, jumping castles and much more fun.
