Hi all.

My name is Roelof and I've been reading this forum for a couple of years now. So I thought I'd say howzit.

I discovered fishing with lures a few years ago and have been loving it. I mainly fish for bass but will also target barbel and saltwater species when I'm at the coast. There's a small stream with barbel running by my house, so I must admit I sometimes quickly go and catch a "snor" or two if I can't get out to a bass venue. I love experimenting with new lures and techniques when I go fishing. I also make some lures to play with, just to mess around with different ideas. I fish from a canoe at the moment, but I'm looking at other "small craft" options. I also have a big hull on a trailer gathering dust and waiting to be transformed into a bass boat.

I'm married and have a two and 1/2 year old son. I think he'll be able to handle a rod one of these days. Can't wait for him to join his old man. :eusa_dance:

Thanks for the things I've already learned here. Hopefully I can also give something meaningful back.
