There comes a time when all the old plastics and those quick unhooks to change lures eventually becomes too many "checkers" packets and one needs to recycle them or melt them down. Now I know where all that money has gone to...!
Time for a wash and cleanup and then sort through them like a woman in a clothing store. Interesting part is those that float and how and why exactly the same plastic sink after maybe being treated differently.

Only trouble I have is the salt content. How in the world do you even the salt out in the mould once you've poured it? The salt always seems to settle at the bottom of the Pyrex dish. Want to make baits that have at least some salt content...

JMG, you do recall being told some time back by one of the members that iodised salt is poisonous for bass if ingested....? Why do you want the salt? When you make biltong, do you inject salt into the meat or do you let it soak...?

On the left is repaired platics; in the container are those beyond repair and destined for melt down.

What do you guys think about these lekka colour combinations.......Ok, these come about from mixing old plastics together and why we shouldn't do it! I really like some of them though........

Oh well, all the repairs are sorted by type into sealed containers, garnished with some garlic powder and liberally sprayed with spray & cook. I would eat them myself. :eusa_dance:
