It is with sadness that we just heard that Etienne Kriel, Editor of Tight Lines/Stywe Lyne has passed away. Our condolences with your family and close friends. You will be sorely missed by the fishing community as a whole.

A true LEGEND indeed! Very sad to hear the news, he will definately leave a big space in the angling world.
Always humble and well respected.... May you rest in peace Etienne.

My sincere condolences to all family, friends and colleques that is left behind by a truly great man.

It's really sad. I knew Oom Etienne very well. Really funny guy with dry sense of humour. Always a 100 jokes and stories to tell.

Very sad news, Etienne will be missed and the fishing community of South Africa lost one of the true ambassadors.
A condolences message from the forum to the family would be a great idea!
