Hello guys,

I've read on News24 that the moon will be closest to earth Sunday Morning on the full moon. Is there a link between lunar cycles, tides & fishing? There will be a spring tide, and yes our local dams don't really rise or pull back too much to notice.I did however read somewhere that bass evolved from sea fish and they can still detect tides. Any one got some information about this?

Will this perhaps cause the bass to go into feeding mode?

This with a drop in pressure due to a cold front passing KZN the weekend might cause something to happen?

We can fit both in to our schedule :blue-biggrin: Rugby has been very good of late with the SA team right up there.
The more I learn about fishing the more I realise
how much more I have to learn about fishing.

Fish definetly goes of the bite on fullmoon. I have seen it so many times. I think its because the get enough light at night to hunt, thus do not have to risk exposing themselfs at day time. This weekends comp was again a similar situation.
One fish can change it all.....

I am confused, Robfisher says it was good, August says it was shite. My forecast would have been VERY good . Just shows you.

I have never seen so many big fish come out at Albert's (that I physically saw) as yesterday. We were three boats and I saw over 10 fish over 1,5kg's and up to 3kg's come out in an hour... we caught quite a few fish and all of them were decent fish! Our two smallest fish were under a kg but still good keepers.

I missed 3 PIGS on popper... the surface exploded and they missed the popper. :blue-doubt:
