I’m still at the “never again” stage… ask me again next week!

The next one will have fines noted in a database because a lot of people got away with fines… and seeing we raised R16,000 for Headway this time the target for next time is R25,000! So Howie will have to start making notes now if we are to hit the target.

PS I am heading to my happy carp hunting ground tomorrow so that could generate some more abuse.

Does that mean we have to listen to someone in love with the mic for 3 hrs instead of 2? Just my opinion but the fines were a lil OTT. next time I think I'll do what a lot of others did and go sit far away and tell and listen to fishing stories.

Hey Pomerob, I agree. The fines were fun but got a bit excessive...

Don't worry about it. The next Tour will have a total different format guaranteed :blue-cool:

Well I guess it all depends on whether we want to raise a lot of money for the Charity and have lots of prizes and lucky draws for the competitors. Yip the fines were pretty rich (and OTT) for a lot of people but no one was forced to contribute and a simple “my wallet is in the tent” was enough to send the fine master on his way... but of course the bulk of the money was raised with the charity auction.

It’s an interesting discussion and I would love to hear some feedback on whether the BFSA’ers want a slick tour with big tents, lots of prizes, full bar and catering, security guards, free fishing shirts, free accomodation, full weigh stations, lots of sponsors and TV coverage or whether they want a small get together around a camp fire and no organisation.

Personally I’m all for a 50 boat limit (members first) and all the sponsors, prizes, TV Coverage and organisation that goes into such a tour and to raise money with a charity auction is simply the cherry on the top. The next tour will be in winter and we will be hiring lots of chairs and arranging them around a big bonfire! There will be the half an hour or so charity auction and the rest of the night will be fishing stories around the camp fire.

The ESA Bass show on the tour will be flighted next week Tuesday on SuperSport 1 at 7pm... and it's very lekker... I saw it this morning.

Rob please dont mis understand me, the tour was an out standing success and everything was top class, I totally enjoyed it. The food and catering was superb and I appreciate all the work that goes on behind the scenes. The money raised for headway was outstanding. The prizes were also great and I am very greatful for mine, although that wasnt the reason I went.

Constructive critisim, evening formalities were drawn out. Thats it, i dont feel any one was pressured to pay anything but it did go on and on.

If your planning for your next tour try to visit cheap ticket online which is one of the most very relied on online traveling websites in Australia, with a swiftly expanding network of tourists.
