How to remove and replace those Split rings ???

Guys,     Help, Asseblief, I'll klap myself over the head later.



I want to remove the treble hook and replace it with a single hook,  The Split ring is the problem.

I could just cut off the existing one , but then I would still have the problem,    

How do I attach a new split ring,   I just cant seem to find a way to open them .

You get special split ring pliers from any tackle shop or you can just use a small long nose pliers to pry it open

Navrik, shortly after making the post I asked Aunty Google,    I never knew where was a tool called a split ring pliers , lol.      I feel enlightened especially after administering " Two Klaps  agter die Kop " !!!      .   Said split ring pliers added to shopping list.

Just be careful when shopping for those and try them before you buy them if possible as they are not all created equal.
