Not to mention the 60 kick boaters in the mix as well as all the bank anglers.

Kick boats have to pay R250 pp and R200 for the boat

Crazy... Too much!

Well, I've paid my money and am going to take my chances.

I'll keep my tar, feathers and pitchfork in the cupboard for the moment.

I'm optimistic that it'll be as much fun as the previous two.

If I use a kickboat with a trolling motor would I fall under the boat or kickboat section and what would I have to pay ?

According to the organisers the price for a kickboat or boat is the same so take your pick.

Looks like I will have to sit this one out. The last event was overcrowded as hell which made the fishing unpleasant. Entry fee is pretty steep too. Sad

Hi Guys,
Just for the record, the Elgin Bass Classic is being run by the Elgin Round table and has nothing to do with the past charity events Mike (applebass) and I have organised at Applethwaite.
Thought I would just put that out there for the record.

Hi Johannes
There are probably quite a few fishermen still considering entering the comp this weekend. Please can you clarify a few points:
Do the boats compete for the same prize as the kick boats or are there seperate categories ?
We are a happy bunch of campers and would like to know if we can stay the Sat night as well ? Driving home after a few toots is not wise and it would be great to simply park off for the afternoon and leave the following day.
Is it a Big Fish comp or Bag comp ?

So is it 5 fish pp on the boat or 5 fish per team? Any idea around the amount of entries and prizes?
