Jan has kindly made his camp site along the Breede river available to us again.
The last Breede KBT was in the same spot and it was a great weekend with some challenging fishing but still some good smallies and largies coming out.

Location: Robertson area – if you don’t know where the camp site is send me a pm/sms/whatsapp and I will send you directions.
my cell 08four 30two 312six

Its the usual R200 for the KBT entry.
Camping is R80 per person for the weekend (Friday and Saturday night) payable on the weekend.

Registration will be at 5:30am and we will start fishing as soon as that is done.
Weigh in will be at 4pm

A friendly reminder to please drive slowly on the dirt road to the camp site. There are fruit trees along that road so please keep the dust to a minimum.

Remember to please register on and then sign up to the KBT season. There were a few guys at Bulshoek that had not.

See you guys there.

If anybody is planning on arriving at the campsite before 3pm please let me know. There are some gates that will be locked.

Drive safe guys.
See you on the water tomorrow.

Howsit guys,

A quick one,
Saturday we had the KBT at the Breede river. I would like to thank Andrew and Malcolm on another well hosted event.
The morning started at 2am for me... driving through to Roy's place, a quick swop of cars and off we went to Robertson.
On arrival (5am) the morning, the guys were all up and the chirps/chit chat was following. The morning started off over cast and cleared into a awesome sunny day.

Being my first time back in a while after pulling my back, I decided to kick over to the opposite bank and slowly make my way down the river. Making my way down I could hear the guys saying the fishing is tough today and some guys only having one fish... I decided to go with smaller baits on the day which managed to get me bag and a 3rd place, well done to Gowi in 2nd and Grant taking First with that nice 1.7kg kicker... Lekker Boet!

Below are some pics I grabbed from FB...

Thanks Floatie!
Welcome back to the KBT and congrats on your 3rd place. Very well fished on an extremely tough day.

All I can add is a thank you to everybody that entered (36 entries) it was great seeing some old faces again.
Of course a massive thank you to the sponsors who made those goodies bags possible and they are Eddles Gas & Tackle, Outdoors365 and Suburban Tackle.
Southern Bass Cultured sponsored the big fish prize as always and this time it went to Grant for the 1.7kg kicker he brought to the scale.
Grant then drew #11 from the bag which happened to be Smurf's registration number and he won a fishing shirt like the one Andrew and I are wearing.

Be sure to look at the final result by clicking on the link below and the by clicking on the red Tournament result text you can see the season standings. Who is in the running for the 13 Fishing, Pisces Predator and prizes.
