I joined the forum a bit late to compete in the last season. But it looks like a lot of fun.
And I'm really excited about the upcoming season.

Just a few questions.... (Some may be stupid ones)

1. How many competitors (on average) attend the events?

2. Do we pay entry fees in advance, or cash on the day?

3. Do I have to enter in advance? Or just pitch up on the weekend?

My apologies if this was discussed before, but I couldn't find anything on my search.

Morning Sparky
I would say on average there are about 25 to 30 guys at each comp. You can pay your entry fee on the Friday evening or Sat morning, and you just pitch up and fish when you available to.
There are a great bunch of guys in the Kbt and I am sure you will learn from many of them as i have.

My biggest worry is that my wife (when I’m dead) will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it.”

Brent pretty much covers it, thanks man.

Sparky it is never too late to enter for the season and you are under no obligation to fish every KBT from start to finish.
The KBT is a social fishing competition. Most of the guys are there for a good time but there are a few that are there to put their skills to the test.

Andrew and I will hopefully have the dates for next season up in a few weeks time.

At the season ending KBT at Mofam,it was mentioned that there would be some tweaks to rules of the KBT. Besides the dates, venues etc,can we hear of these proposed revised conditions/rules that may affect competitors in the new season. It is never too early to get the dates provisionally out so they can be looked at ,especially as there are both senior and junior Nationals being held on Clanwilliam this spring.

It think both MT and KBT organisers are waiting for regional dates to be finalised.

Ja my boet. Considering this is the only real active bass fishing forum in the country besides bookface, one would have thought that SABAA at head office level might be active from time to time and not rely on the Divisions to disseminate all the info. That aside SABAA members should all know what is going on through communication but we go back to that old thing of us vs. them and which is not worth debating anymore as we are all on the same side of the fence.

If SABAA had more members it would make organized bass angling a hell of a lot easier........
