Hi guys,

Hope everybody is ready for this weekend. Looks like summer hasnt left that part of the Cape and we are in for some mid 30's day time temps and some strong wind.

Like always we will be launching from Calleta Cove, see attached pic.

Saturday we will start registration at 6am and we can get started when that is finished.
Andrew and I will make a quick stop at de Kelder from around 7pm on Friday so if you want to pay entry fee then you can. We will also be staying at Lebanon so the guys staying there are also welcome to the pay entry fee when we get there.
Weigh in will be at 4pm.

Sundays fishing time will be announced at registration.

See you everyone this weekend!

Andrew and I have had quite a few phone calls and messages this morning regarding the launching area for the KBT which is at Caletta and not at the municipal campsite.
We know there isn’t much water there but there is enough, we have caught fish there when it was 9%, level is sitting at 14.23% on the unofficial reading but Wednesday we will get the official reading. Last week Monday it was 15% so it looks like they are not letting out as much water from previous weeks readings.

But the main reason why we are staying with Caletta is that we have heard numerous stories and experienced first-hand that cars get broken into at the municipal site more often than not and we don’t want to take that risk.

This weekend we had the second last BFSA KBT of the season at Clanwilliam and after some good reports coming from Clan we thought we would be in for some good fishing.
Boy were we wrong! Blue bird skies and crazy heat both days. But that being said some guys found the fish and some really good ones while others struggled.

Saturday there were a few smallies ranging from 1,4kg to 1.7kg weighed in but only a few limits. Sunday was by far the better day with more and bigger bass being brought to the scales. It also produced the big fish of the KBT of 2.13kg caught by Grant. There was even a yellowfish caught.

The podium looked like this:
In third place we have Kurt,
In second JM
and the winner was Pieter.

Well done guys, you were clearly doing something right over the weekend.

From Andrew and myself we would like to thank all the sponsors for the day and the season:
