Breedesmallie is planning another Breede river classic this year on 14/15 May 2016, brought to you by the Robertson Lions club.

To make this worthwhile for the Lions club, can we have a show of hands to see how many people are going to attend?

Here's another deal. We might not be fishing the Breede river as because of the low water levels this years, there is a lot of grass in the river.
So we are moving to a private dam that is slightly smaller than Poortjies and nobody fish there. This dam is only accessible via Breedesmallie who will only open this dam once for us. The dam contains both smallies and largies and Breedesmallie caught his PB of 3.94Kg there.

Please take part in the Poll. We need to give feedback in a week's time.

Going to a new venue is always a great deal, especially when Oom Breede is around. I wouldnt mind some more information like entry fee,one or two day event, can we camp over somewhere close by where a toilet works and the locals are not standing by waiting to ransack your tent (like Clan).Prizes for this type of comp is not important..going out to a decent venue to fish is the draw card as well as being able to stay somewhere and light a fire and have a few dops.
Life is not about the number of breaths we make, but the moments that take our breath away.

Guys more information about price camping etc. will follow.
This is just a survey of how many will attend and what number we can expect. Then the Lions club can plan better.

I would like to join. Never fished any comps with you guys.
I would just need dates and location to make arrangements.

One question: Will this be fishing from a float tube/bank/boat?

Hi just a quick push. Please get your votes in.

I can not give any details yet (that will be Breedesmallie). But yes, it is a kickboat comp and trolling motors will be allowed. Small craft will be allowed but you must be able to carry it to the water.
Rules and entry fees will be posted soon.

Sorry gents but the comp is canceled, the Breede is at its lowest in years and the grass is everywhere. I will organize another comp for later in the year when everything is back to normal.
