Hi guys,

As you will know the Clanwilliam KBT falls over Easter Weekend which poses two problems.
1. no accommodation available
2. The boat traffic is going to be much more than usual which is a safety issue.

Andrew and I have looked at possible weekends to move it to and the only one which will work is the 9-10 April 2016.

19-20 March Divisional at TWK ( Andrew )
26-27 March Easter weekend
2 April MT at TWK (Smurf )

Please cast your vote in the pole above to either keep it the original date or to move to 9-10 April.
We will let this pole run until the end of the week to allow as many BFSA KBT competitors to vote.

Added two more options. You can change your vote if you have voted already.

Cheers,
Southpaw aka Malcolm

NOTE: If you do not fish the BFSA KBT don’t vote

Very considerate of you :eusa_angel:
It would appear from the poll thus far that 9/10 April is ok for most. Can you also indicate where we are going to launch from as well. This will give an indication of where one has to stay.

Provided there is still water, I would like to keep with tradition and use the same place as previous years. Theres more than enough space for everyone to park as close to the water as they want.
I have been on Clanwilliam when it is at 9-10% and there was still water there so we should be alright.

Nice, thanks Southpaw. It would be nice to start before dawn to try get that early morning bite as well as fish a few hours in temps below 30 degrees! There is nothing like those mini flies for breakfast as well !

I agree with smurf. Be great to get on the water in the dark. Last year the smallies were going crazy then.

This was not a easy decision to make and we realise that which ever weekend we chose to use for this kbt somebody was going to miss it for some one reason or another.
We went through countless options and listening to what other have to say. We took that all into consideration and in the end there was only one date that would accommodate the vast majority of the guys but unfortunately we know of at least two guys that cannot make it.
Please understand we dont want to exclude anybody but if we wanted to have a kbt its this date 9-10 April

And by the way Easter weekend next year is 14-17 April next year.

We will finalise the fishing times closer to the KBT.

Hi Spark,

Sorry I missed your post. There is usually a good crowd camping at Lebanon Citrus farm. While others stay at the municipal chalets or somewhere in town.

A word of warning. I wouldnt camp at the municipal site, I have heard countless stories of stuff going missing from the campsite.

Morning Smurf,

Correct. The KBT will be on Saturday and Sunday.
According to the Google, sun rise is only at 7am so we should be able to enjoy a lengthy morning bite.
